MLP:MR - March Frost Basic Re

Kind-hearted, Strong-willed, and brave, March Frost is determined to bring her siblings safely to a better life.  

Unlike Moondancer and Valentine, who grew up in a relatively sheltered corner of Equestria, March and her siblings, Nightingale, (male, 12, has a knack for making up songs.) and Misty May, (female, 5 1/2, to young to be bothered by lack of CM.) are natives to Maresburg.  Located North-east of Canterlot Mountain, Maresburg is the closest major settlement to Tartarus. (or, it was)   The sky is usually overcast and snowy, and if it's not snowing, it's usually drizzling sleet.  Now a ghost town, as most of the ihabitants fled, those remaining live in the empty ruinious houses and abandoned factories.  Monsters prowl the streets day and night, and any food or proper shelter is scarce, but they have nowhere else to go.  The three siblings lost their parents years ago, Misty can't even remember them, and they have been living off the streets since then, hoping that somehow things might get better.
March took most of the weight onto her shoulders, allowing her younger siblings to remain as care-free as a life spent dodging blood-thirsty monsters would allow.  Her magic is mostly defense based, her spells being a magical sheild, (the spell she's casting in the picture above, minor healing, and creating an independent orb of light that follows the caster around.  On top of that she has the usual unicorn spells; Levitation, glowing horn, etc.  (winking is not included, that is a high level spell.)

I'll go ahead and put her backstory here to, as I don't think it will show up in the books.  
As time goes by, nothing seems to be getting better.  One day she rescues a stallion from a pack of Hoarhounds.  They welcome him into their fortified apartment room and share with him what comforts they possess.  He introduces himself as Summer Blaze, and explains that he comes from a unicorn village farther up North.  He had heard of a town, a safe town, that welcomes any ponies that want to live there.  His village is in ruin, the only ponies still remaining there Blaze called insane.  You would have to be insane to live so close to the Black Gates.  His Grandmother's health had been to frail to leave with the other unicorns, so he had remained to care for her.  Now that he was left alone, he was traveling to find this fabled city.  He urged March to take Misty and Nightingale and travel with him, and after much argument, and Nightingale's gifts of persuasion, she agreed.  I haven't decided if Summer Blaze makes it to New Cloudsdale safely or not, but if he does he gets to be March's boyfriend.  

I was going to put a qoute of her's here, but she rarely ever says anything that is not in answer to a question, so it ended up being a snippet.  This is taken from chapter 7 (or 8, I haven't typed it up yet, so I'm not sure of the placement.)

"If you were to kill the Gamork,"  Valentine mused, trying to make her last sugar cookie stand upright, "what would you do?"  
   "I don't know,"  March replied, "I've fought a lot of monsters before, but never one so awful as a Gamork.  I suppose I would have to get a good look at it and determine it's weakness, then go off of that."
  "What kind of monsters did you fight?"  Valentine asked, giving up the balancing act and taking a bite out of the cookie.
  "All different kinds,"  the unicorn said, staring off into space, "To many to count.  Up to the North, where I'm from, the land is crawling with beasts of every kind.  The closer you get to Tartarus, the more there are.  Maresburg is entirly destroyed, just rubble and deserted homes.  The monsters up there are smart.  You can't just close a door, they will find a way to open it, or break it, or go around it..."
